Bowling!

Ok, so we tend to hang out with Collin, Shayna and Brady quite often (or I just take photos on the days we are with them, not sure which). But They were going Bowling on Sunday so we decided to tag along. We even made a bet on who won and to my dismay Kira beat both Andy and I! I guess I owe her a toy.

The kids even got their own used bowling pin from the owner at Logan Lanes. They had fun. 

A camp out - at the house!

Kira had been talking about camping non stop all day so when we got home we decided to get the tent out and let her and Collin sleep in it for the night. We blew up the air mattress and turned the TV so they could watch a movie. They were having fun and all was well... until we turned the TV off and time for bed. Collin didn't want to stay so Shayna picked him up and they went home. We couldn't just let Kira sleep alone, what fun is a camp out by yourself? So Andy, Max and I joined in and we camped in the living room. We might have to do that more often because Max slept through the entire night. He didn't get me up once! I was in awe... Usually he's up 3-6 times a night so to sleep solid through the night was like heaven. And Andy and I like camping so we didn't mind. We already have a few camping trips planned and are excited to take Kira with us. She loved playing in the dirt with Collin when we went to Newton and was mad we didn't stay over so we'll have to ensure she gets her Camping fix. 

Kira's Dance Review 2014

Kira has been a little dancer for 2 years now. I missed her review last year because I was attending my own dance review at the time. She is seriously fun to watch. Even though she isn't the star dancer out on the stage she can sure get people's attention. For instance at her review, she was the one on stage picking her nose, looking around, maybe even a little off count, yawning at one point, but boy was she cute. 

I did not take pictures so I have no proof of those BTW. 

(Being a previous dancer and teacher I tend to critique more so forgive me if that statement above and the rest of this post sounds harsh. I didn't intend it to.)

Kira was a lot better this year than last so she is learning. She still gets distracted easily, but really what 4 year old doesn't at some point? She has fun and says she loves it so that's all that matters... And she looks pretty freaking adorable in her costume, hair and makeup. Her favorite dance shoes are her tap shoes because they "sing". She told me she wants a blue costume next year, I guess she'll have to talk to her teachers about that one. 

A huge thanks to my mom, Shayna, Collin, Andy's Parents and Maria for coming to watch her with us. We appreciate your support and Kira was happy you were there.

Sun is out and we're off for a JEEP ride!

When Kira and Collin love to go for a jeep ride it seriously makes mine and Andy's day. Collin LOVES my jeep. Kira seems to enjoy it as well. Saturday after Kira's Dance Dress Rehearsal we took Shayna and Collin with us and headed for a quick drive up Black Smith Fork Canyon. We drove up to this spring, played around for a bit then headed home to get Kira bathed and ready to dance. It was a sunny and fabulous day outside and we thoroughly enjoyed soaking it up, long with some of the freezing spring water. 

Playing at the Park

Last weekend I took Collin home with me after work and we met Andy and Kira at the house. We took the kids in the bike trailer and went on an adventure... to the park by our house. Kira and Collin always have fun together. Even Andy and I had fun playing tag, on the fire truck, rock climbing, swinging and even on the merry go round. We had a great evening. I got some fun photos of Collin but Kira wasn't in the picture mood for me. Ah, there will be another day I'm sure.
