Family Pictures are always fun. Another copy from my photography page. This was before pictures with Kira's Family so I'm out of order but OH WELL :) blog: http://staceyhansenphotography.com/hansen-family-logan-utah-family-photographer/
The Hansen Family has had a great year. 2016 has defiantly been one for the books, but to be honest I'm sure glad it's over. We did our family pictures just a few weeks ago. I've been holding off on posting them because I wanted to wait until our new WEBSITE went live... which it did today! I am so thrilled to be officially on a new website with a new blog! Head on over and check out the new site and more of our family pictures! I can't thank my friend, Ryan, enough for helping get the website up and running.
This little lady is a special one, she's my step daughter and I just adore her. Kira has been such a blessing in my life and in our family. She is full of her own style and sass. She loves all things girly and the color blue. She is learning Spanish in a Dual Immersion program and doing so well! Piano is on her list this year and her first recital is tonight! She is also learning theater / acting and gymastics.
Max and Roxy have been a handful for us! Max has had a couple of rough years, especially going blind this year. We still love him and he is doing remarkable with all things considering! Roxy is quite the character. She's such a sweet girl and loves dad. She has been shedding a lot lately so we are just getting used to that entire change! We are not used to dogs that shed so it's been a new learning experience for us. She loves to play and is a great welcoming committee at our house.
Andy and I have had quite the roller coaster ride this year. Through our infertility struggle we've seen some amazing ups and complete downs. Through it all we've managed to stay positive and tough. He is my rock and gets me through every. single. day. I love that man. If you haven't read up on our journey or seen our video we would love to share it with you. Our blog is full of raw emotion and the honest truth in our journey but it's been a great trial to share with others. www.tryingtoconceiveutah.blogspot.com
This year, Stacey Hansen Photography, has had our best year ever. We can't wait to share our recap and top photos from the year! Stay tuned over the upcoming weeks to see our Newborn Recap and giveaway as well as our favorites! You might just win something!
Thanks for a great year.
Another Holiday event. I copied this entire post from my Photography blog at this link: http://staceyhansenphotography.com/kira-family-pictures-logan-utah-family-photographer/
If you've met my family or saw our Family picture post you know who Kira is. If you didn't or you need a refresher - Kira is our sweet little 7 year old girl. She's Andy's daughter and my step daughter. She is full of personality and is a joy to have in our lives. She has so much love for everyone she meets and all of those friends and family members in her life.
How it began...
This all began last month. Over Thanksgiving weekend when we were finished decorating our tree we decided to write a letter to Santa. Kira wanted to write it for herself, Andy and I. She is always so thoughtful to include us in her wish list making. That night, Andy and I learned one of the things Kira wanted for Christmas. She wrote "I want to have a pichr of my family".
We decided to probe her a little because we have a lot of pictures of our families. It's then we learned she wanted a picture of her entire family. We're talking grandparents, cousins and parents from both sides. Woah, that's a big group. We decided that might be super hard to coordinate. I asked her mom for some pictures of her side of the family so I could try to put some photos together to give Kira. However, Kira's mom and I decided to schedule a quick mini session to get Kira a picture of just "her" family - including her Mom, Dad, Step Parents (Roger and I) as well as her brother. So that's what we did.
We met up the Sunday before Christmas. It was FREEZING cold that morning. The entire weekend had been super chilly. We had decided that Black and Grey would work for everyone since it was a little last minute. I'm so glad we picked those colors so we could all wear our coats and stay warm! We met up in Logan with these awesome pine trees and the pretty frost and ice on the ground. It was slippery but we managed to not get hurt. We hired my mom to come take pictures and Misha's mom and sister to come help get the kids attention. It was a great group effort.
This session was all about Kira. This is her family. She is super lucky to be loved by so many people. She always says she's cool because she has 2 moms and 2 dads. She's right, she is cool. While no one ever plans to have a blended family, we just make it work. She's been a great sport to have two families and she is loved more than she'll ever know.
Mom's Side - Roger, Misha, and Robinton
Dad's Side - Andy and Stacey
Kira wanted a big family picture to put in her room so we printed a bunch of these photos and gave them to her, her mom & Roger, her Grandma and us for Christmas. We also made her a little accordion style book to keep at both houses. No matter which house she goes to she'll always have her family pictures there with her.

Hycomp's Annual Christmas Party. This year we did the party at Hycomp in the Assembly Area. I was in charge of coordinating the decorations and set up. It was A LOT of work but fun. Andy was out of town on a Service Trip so he missed the party. Kira and I had fun.
Another busy week with the Holidays.
1. Andy and I went to Salt Lake for our Annual get-a-way weekend. We love taking one night out of the month and keeping in charge of our relationship and doing some shopping while we are at it. I did have a quick engagement session at the State Capitol and Andy came with me. I sure do love him.
2. We love playing with the dogs. One night they were both so hyper and were all over our faces. It was so funny.
3. I did Holiday Mini's at the Gypsy Soul Market. Santa was there and it was so fun!
4. Annual Riggs Christmas Party at Beth's house. Then we headed to my parents house to play Settlers of Catan with Shayna and Dad.
