Holiday Happenings Vol. 7 | School Concert

Kira's kindergarten class(es) had a singing concert for their parents. It was super fun to get to go to school and watch.

Holiday Happenings Vol. 6 | Festive Randoms

Oh I just love this time of year. This season I've been more stressed out than usual. I've had SOO many more photo sessions than I expected and it has kept me busy nearly every day for 3 or 4 weeks. I'll be relieved to be done after tomorrow, Christmas eve (I have two photo sessions tomorrow)! I have 3 whole days with no photo sessions. It will be pure bliss. I'm going to relax, spend time with family, Andy and Kira and just enjoy my time off. This year's Christmas Cards were super cute and we whipped this idea up in a few minutes. I didn't have to get ready, I just had to buy some Christmas Socks. LOVED IT!

And I love our tree. I get compliments on it all the time and just love the full height and that I have enough decorations to fill it.

Mr. Calvin our elf has been fairly good, sneaky and just a little mischievous this year. He and Iron Man got into it and Iron make taped him to the wall. He also took a hot air balloon ride (See photo Below). The one morning Calvin actually went on a date with Barbie and they were sipping syrup in the kitchen and I forgot to get a picture of it! Ugh. He also made is own Hot Tub because he see's her getting in the hot tub all the time. She has fun looking for Calvin.

A few weeks ago I had a two photo sessions at the Merrill Family Christmas Tree location on the highway. Kira decided she wanted to come with and she was a big help to the two little girls I was doing photos for. Notice her bandanna, which was left over from the Olaf blanket we made together. (ok mostly me but she was there for moral support). They had reindeer there so we got to watch them for a bit. Her favorite one was the one with the broken antlers.

It only took me a week or more but I also decorated my office. I love seeing Christmas trees in the office.

Holiday Happenings Vol. 5 | Cache Children's Choir

Kira has been apart of the Cache Children's Choir for a few years. She loves singing. This year their concert was a little different but she was still cute non the less. Here's some photos and a video from her night. (I have more videos they just take forever to post so I'll maybe update this later with more video)

Holiday Happenings Vol. 4 | Christmas Dance Recital

Kira's Christmas Dance Recital was a few weeks ago. She's so adorable to watch and she just gets better each year. She was super excited to see us which always helps!

Holiday Happenings Vol. 3 | Gingerbread Houses

This past sunday we had Lunch/Dinner at my parents and everyone make a gingerbread house or train. It was fun and the kids did great decorating their houses. We got Kira a prebuilt house which was actually perfect for her. She got to decorate it and was done in no time. I, on the other hand, was building a train which was fairly easy and pretty fun. I could do that again!

Holiday Happenings Vol. 2 | Hycomp Christmas Party

This years Hycomp Christmas Party was held at the Riverwoods Conference Center in Logan. The food was great, company was fun and Santa perfect. The kids loved it and the gifts they got.

11 Christmas Parties later, Hycomp parties are always fun. Though I'm fairly glad its over as it's always extra stress to plan it and ensure it runs smoothly.

Holiday Happenings Vol. 1 | The Santa Party

I can't believe that Christmas is in 2 days. I was completely not ready last week and after this weekend I think I might survive. Andy and I have had a rough year buying Christmas for Kira as well as each other. We have a bad habit of buying something when we want it instead of waiting for Christmas and Birthdays, etc. Andy decided we should take a trip to Salt Lake just the two of us and do some shopping together. We did just that and it was so relaxing and nice! We headed out Friday after work and stayed at the Marriott at City Creek. We went shopping and got most of our Christmas shopping done that night. We ate at the Naked Fish, a Japanese sushi restaurant. The next morning we headed north and stopped at Toys R Us before heading home. It was a great quick trip and I loved spending time just the two of us. Of course I spaced taking any pictures, ugh.

Once we were home we headed to the Annual Riggs Family Christmas Party! It was an interesting one this year, but fun non the less.

Andy was the life of the party with the little kids. He's so amazing with kids, it's one of the many reasons I love him. THEY HAD A BLAST jumping, sitting and tickling him. I laughed so much.

Santa then came. It was a rough day for Santa. He isn't sure about all the warm weather in Utah and had to wear shorts. (Super funny situation but it worked out well and he made it work wonderfully). This was the second time Kira had sat on Santa's lap with us. The First time was at our work party (post to come) and she said what she wanted was a secret and wouldn't tell us what she told santa. At least at the family party we got to hear it! Kira got a mermaid barbie and had been playing with it since she got it. She was so excited to take a bath so she could play with it in the water too.

I love our Riggs Santa party. It's always a fun time hanging out with family and just enjoying the moment.
