Relay for Life

I did a post on my Photography blog about Relay for Life. Please READ IT! www.photographybystaceymoss.blogspot.com

I've ALWAYS been what you can say a "Go Getter". I'm always getting involved in things and taking on more jobs/tasks than I should. Well Relay is no exception but I give it my all and my whole heart in hopes that someday soon we can make a difference in the fight against cancer. I have bouts of memories about my grandpa and his cancer. He was fairly lucky in his struggle, others aren't always so. I've seen cancer affect kids as young as 1 year old, which to me is a devastating struggle for them and their family for ever. I am doing everything I can to put in time and efforts to make the Cache County Relay for Life better, bigger, and getting more people involved. Relay is part of my heart. I've never met so many good people all fighting for the same cause. If you have any time, efforts, funds, ideas, or a second to pass along the word please help us out.

Thanks!
Stacey

Thankful

I am so very thankful for my family and my sisters. We were all together for thanksgiving this year and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Usually we have the entire family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) at my mom's for thanksgiving but this year was a little different. It was smaller, cozy and somehow just what we needed - more time to ourselves to hang out before Steph packs up and moves. Her family leaves in December and I'm SO not looking forward to it. Her kids are so much fun and I will miss them and her so much. I never fully realized what she meant to me until I was told she isn't going to be here any more... and on the same note it makes me so much more thankful for having Shayna around. They are my life line, my best friends and the Joy in my life. Steph, Shayna and I get along so well and they would do anything for me and I for them in return. Their kids are like my own; I love them dearly. Steven and Collin have been my little buddies lately. I will miss Steven and his Farm stories oh so much. Jaycie bug has always been my favorite niece until Taylie came along and now it's a close tie. Dylan and his fun personality and red hair just brighten my day. I was born lucky into this family and am more grateful than ever for the friendships, relationships and meaning they have in my life. My parents are the knot that hold us all together but my sisters are there tied with me in my soul. I love you Steph and Shayna. You mean the world to me and so much more.

November Update

Well November has been a busy month and it's only the 9th! I had the opportunity to go to "Summit" which is a Relay for Life training convention for the committees around Utah and Wyoming. It was a lot of fun, very much an emotional experience, I learned a lot and I'm now pumped up for Relay 2013. I was so humbled to be with so many people that Relay and volunteer for this event across the state all dedicated to finding a cure and fighting back against cancer. I was blessed enough to be asked to speak on Saturday in our general session of about 300 people. I was very nervous but was told it went great. I hope some of you reading this are able to fight back for a cause you truely believe in. I fight for the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life because of my grandpa. His diagnosis with cancer got me started in 2009 but since then I have met so many wonderful people that have been touched by this horrible disease. I hope one day soon we will put an end to it. Because of that I dream big and Relay BIGGER. If you are interested in helping out in any way with Relay for life, volunteering, creating a team, donating, helping with entertainment, or whatever it might be please let me know.

Halloween Haunting....

ok not really haunting just some Halloween fun.

This year for Halloween we did a bonefire. It was a blast. We had donuts, hot chocolate and hot carmeled apple cider. We thought... oh this will be cool for the trick or treaters... well we didn't a single trick or treater. Man what a neighborhood, I was completely bummed out. We did, however, get a lot of friends and family so we were happy. I had a lot of fun, though I was almost the only adult in costume. I had dressed up for work and didn't have time to change and wash my face/hair so I was stuck with it. My nephew Collin hated my costume. He usually runs to give me hugs and this time wouldn't even come close. :( Overall we had a great turn out and had a blast. Watch out for next year... we plan on doing the same thing!
