Carving Pumpkins!

We try to make it a tradition to carve pumpkins as a family every year during October. Last  night was our night! We had picked out these pumpkins a few weeks ago at the Pumpkin Patch on the Highway by Teds. Kira picked out extra pumpkins for the dogs (which we did not carve!) She loved using the wheel barrel and hauling them to the car. Last night after homework and dinner we carved pumpkins. Maria had given us a pile of books and carving utincils so we were set. Kira did a Cat, Stacey did a pumpkin that says boo and Andy did a Scare Face. It was fun! Kira loved cleaning the guts out. She said "Fall is just my favorite time of year".

We tried to light the candles inside the pumpkins and didn't have a lighter long enough. Andy used paper instead. Next year, I need to get a long lighter! :)

Getting a good photo of the two of them on the porch was a pain. Kira is always laughing and laughing and doesn't smile super great but we'll take it anyways!

Grandma Arlene Clark Funeral

Andy's Grandma Clark passed away on Oct 6, 2017. The funeral was held on Oct 13, 2017. Andy's talk at the funeral was perfect.

Robert and Erinn James sent beautiful flowers. My mom attended the funeral services. It was a great day to celebrate her life.
